Testing Out TATCHA's New Sunrise Lipstick
Every year, in the snowy months of winter, the Japanese eagerly look for the first signs of spring in the form of the vibrant pink blossoms of the plum tree. This year, TATCHA celebrates the arrival of spring by releasing SUNRISE: A Plum Blossom, a limited edition lipstick that captures the rich blush tones of the Japanese Plum Blossom, wrapped in a cushion of golden morning light.
The limited edition lippie has a fine hint of 23k gold for a luminous, vibrant and lustrous finish - talk about luxury! We tried it out first hand to see if it lives up to its luxe description. Just saying, this would make a lovely Christmas or Valentines Day gift *wink *.
What we think:
Coverage: Sheer but buildable to a light creamy sheen, almost gloss-like.
Longevity: It feels very light and comfortable on the lips, not sticky at all and lasts for a good couple hours, despite it’s creamy finish.
Color: Gorgeous color, lovely natural rosy shade, flattering on fairer skin tones.
Packaging: Beautiful packaging, feels very heavy and luxurious
Cons: This little lipstick feels heavy but doesn’t actually hold a lot of product, so the price point hurts a little, but if you love Tatcha and love a good rosy sheer coverage lipstick, then this one by Tatcha could be a good investment.
