Gearing away from its previous trend of enlisting celebrity models (Kate Moss, Gisele Bündchen and Lara Stone to name a few), Balenciaga's FW16 campaign shines the limelight on unknown names on the streets of Paris. Being Vetements designer Demna Gvasalia's first full campaign, it comes as no surprise that he wanted to take a step away from his predecessor Alexander Wang's highly refined and commercial aesthetic.
To capture the Spanish brand's latest campaign, Gvasalia enlisted photographer Mark Bothwick and stylist Lotta Volkova to evoke a more down-to-earth and relatable philosophy. What do you think about the campaign?
