The Domus Collection continues its presence from SS16 into AW16, upholding CMMN SWDN's principle of sartorial continuity. Domus, Latin for 'home', leads the AW16 Collection's slight 70s feel and draws designers Saif Bakir and Emma Hedlund's comfort zones, allowing them to create clothing that is warm, inviting and carefree. Retro influences are contrasted with a focus on modern fits, contemporary details and technical fabrics, as seen in the traces of domestic leather and velvet textiles. The whole Collection is an investigation of luxury fabrics in the form of boxy, cropped fits, high waists and slim, tapered legs.
