YMC, or You Must Create, centered there Autumn/Winter 2016 Collection around the theme 'Parallelogram', which draws from the rawness and boundary-pushing mentality and visual aesthetics of artists and musicians. Marking their 20th anniversary, this collection continues YMC's long-term counter-culture agenda, drawing inspiration from the transatlantic underground music scene from 1960s.

Psychedelic and musical references are apparent throughout, mixing in loose silhouettes with cropped pieces, bucket hats and fringed donkey jackets. The generally dark palette of black, navy and charcoal is highlighted by splashes of whites, dusty pinks and eye-catching prints of Japanese wood grain and flame patterns. Fittingly, materials and fabrics are sourced from Japan and Italy.
