Versace Men's FW16

Versace Men's FW16

For her Fall/Winter 2016 Show, Donatella brought guests on an escapade into the starry, futuristic universe of Versace. The Show opened with astronauts dressed in fibre optic fabrics running around the whole show space, which later transformed into an eclectic, sci-fi runway for Donatello's 60 men in space.

Sleek tailoring and space-age metallic trenches are worn over white roll necks, while Prince of Wales suits are embellished with eyelets and grommets. Versace's symbolic medusa head appears as badges of the future on belts, necklaces, and on a newly developed star map print. Silver transforms into black then purple and Neptune blue, and finally back to moonstone beige and silver, just like a rendezvous tour through Galactica. Decidedly cool and forward, Versace reworks the tracksuit for high fashion - dressing it in merino wool zip-ups with a zig-zag at the neck, or drawstring track pants enriched with embellishments. These embellishments continue as space debris on MA1 flying jackets, while crystals decorate denim jackets and jeans like a constellation of stars.
