It's been a few whirlwind years of success for Victoria Beckham in the fashion industry, and her triumph doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. For her Fall/Winter 2016 Collection presented at NYFW, Beckham traveled back in time to her Posh days to rework corsets and bodices (that she often wore back in the day) into modern variations that still created the alluring hourglass silhouette and were appropriate for daytime wear, Dressing the corsets in checkered and threaded fabrics, and introducing cutouts right below the bustline and at the waist, an adventurous take and unfamiliar ground for her customer base.
Outerwear also made its usual appearance on the runway, first emerging as a big and cozy version in navy, then transitioning into narrower and neater variations with menswear checks and stitches, as if to balance the femininity of the collection.
