Valentino presented their FW16 Collection of unexpected bohemian contrasts, relaxed silhouettes and Navaho inspired hypnotic geometric patterns at Paris Men's Fashion Week. Digging into Jon Krakauer's Into the Wild, Maria Graziz Chiuri and Pierpaolo PIccioli investigated the meaning of new experiences and happiness, translating these themes into couture-like pieces that hold both philosophical and melodious references.
Tribal embellishments and camouflage patterns spawn over coats, jackets and overcoats, recreating timeless classics with new fabrics and visuals. Traces of Texan influences are seen on studded denim separates, while shearling intarsia takes a wild run with customized embellishments of the Pearly Kings. To inject a sense of effortless cool, Chiuri and Piccioli bring back the all-black outfit in sleek statement pieces, as well as studded re-creations of classic silhouettes.
