Swedish underwear brand Björn Borg has just released a new nude underwear line, Skin Collection, that features six different shades of skin tones based off the Fitzpatrick scale. The collection launched on UN's Racial Discrimination Day, an initiative to promote human rights and equality for all.
According to the brand's marketing director Jonas Lindberg Nyvang, "Nude is not a color; it’s a concept that everybody should have the right to enjoy". The brand refers to these colors as the "six shades of human".
Although this line is definitely more inclusive than most underwear collections, four out of six of these shades still lean towards the lighter pigmentation (and there are no bras). Regardless, it's still a big step for fashion and a highly commendable effort from Björn Borg.
Women's undies and men's boxer shorts both retail at €32.95. Find out more about the line at bjornborg.com.
