Trends Off The Runway: Banding

Chanel started it in SS15. The Gucci gang flaunted it for FW16. Bloggers have posted hundreds of photos of it. What is it? Banding!

“Banding” is the latest jewelry craze. Rows of (usually dainty) rings are stacked on multiple fingers to immediately elevate any look. Various brands have been creating stackable jewellery pieces that are both wearable and of course stunning, to allow us to incorporate this unique runway look into our daily wardrobe. There really is no wrong way to stack them - mix different metals with bright colors, stones and other accents to dress up your fingers from head to toe. The latest brands on our radar include Alexia Jordan and R.Y.M. jewellery, which both carry amazing delicate rings and bangles for your show off your arm swag. Take a look at some of our favorite pieces:

Inspired by her own life between New York and London, Alexia Jordan breathes a fresh air into fine jewelry. Her Symbols collection is based on earth, wind, water and fire and is designed to be worn effortlessly with a simple white tee and jeans. Similarly, her Pulse collection utilizes the concept of negative space and explores the relationship between the heart and its beat. Jordan's designs are perfect for those who want stunning, no-fuss jewelry pieces that are easy to style and go with anything.

R.Y.M. Jewelry focuses on cute stacking rings, studs and ear jackets bejewelled in bright gemstones, meant for mixing and matching. Designed by Emirati Reem Mobassaleh, the designs emphasize on making high quality jewelry versatile and affordable. We particularly like the Essentials and Purely Portmanteau collections, which offer a breath-taking look at bejeweled glory, perfect for any woman’s jewelry box.
